Apostilles and Legalisation for Tajikistan

Good news for those who need to send documents to Tajikistan – it is now a member of the Hague Convention on Apostilles.  The practical implication of this is that whereas previously, documents were sent to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office for an Apostille and then also needed to go to the Russian Consulate for further legalisation – they now need an Apostille only.  This means a reduction in both the costs and time involved in legalising documents for this jurisdiction.

Remember that you can apply for an Apostille yourself – you do not need a Notary Public to do this for you.  However many clients do prefer their Notary to deal with the entire process and where this is the case you will have the choice of using the standard service or the quicker Premium service.  The Premium service is only available to registered business users and I am a registered user.  I can also arrange for your document to be sent directly to the country in which it is to be used by expedited international mail.   Contact me for further details.
